Willis signals January fuel excise rise won't proceed, but decision not yet formalised

Finance minister Nicola Willis says the government will not increase fuel excise on 1 January, but the decision has not yet been formalised. A Written Parliamentary Question shows a decision is needed by 31 August to inform the Treasury's Pre-election Economic and Fiscal Update. A planned 12 cents per litre rise is currently scheduled from January.
