Spanish police arrested Albanian fugitive Toma Taulant in Tarragona on August 22, ending an eight-month manhunt. Nicknamed the "mago della fuga" — Italian for "escape wizard" — he had broken out of four jails across Italy and Belgium since 2009, using methods like sawing through bars, climbing knotted sheets, and forming a human pyramid to breach walls. He was serving time for robbery, theft, and drug dealing.
