Ring Makes TAKE Encryption Default Worldwide

Ring now defaults to TAKE (Throw Away the Key Encryption) for all customers worldwide. Encryption keys rotate every five minutes and are permanently deleted within 24 hours — no backups. Ring cannot decrypt old footage after that window; a subpoena yields only encrypted files. Keys live inside AWS Nitro Enclaves, and devices push them on demand, blocking remote server exfiltration.
