Open-source AI coding IDE Proliferate launches with True Ventures, Pear VC backing

Proliferate, founded in 2025 by Pablo Hansen, has launched an open-source, self-hostable AI IDE for teams using coding agents. The AGPL-3.0 desktop app is model-agnostic, supporting Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini on existing subscriptions. A private team beta includes shared workspaces, isolated Git worktrees, cloud sandboxes, and review controls. Self-hosting in a customer's own VPC is supported.
