Vanguard to Buy Digital Wealth Platform Altruist for $4 Billion

Vanguard agreed to buy Altruist, a digital wealth-management platform, for $4 billion (WSJ). The mutually owned firm, known for cost discipline and organic growth, rarely makes headline acquisitions. The deal adds RIA custody and advisor tools to Vanguard's stack, following its purchase of tax-technology provider Just Invest.
