Vanguard to Acquire Wealth Platform Altruist for $4 Billion

Vanguard agreed to buy Altruist, a digital wealth-management platform, for $4 billion (WSJ). The mutually owned firm, long known for cost discipline and organic growth, rarely pursues headline acquisitions. The deal adds RIA custody and advisor practice-management tools to Vanguard's stack, following its completed purchase of tax-technology provider Just Invest.
