Woodside Energy drops scope 3 emissions goals and US$5bn clean energy pledge
Woodside Energy, under new CEO Liz Westcott, scrapped its scope 3 targets — covering emissions from customers burning its products — and abandoned a US$5bn clean energy investment pledge by 2030. Its US ammonia business faces strategic review. Half-year profit rose 27% to US$1.67bn with a higher dividend. Climate group Market Forces criticised the move. A shareholder Q&A is set for 27 August.
