No legal right to shelter in NZ, Housing Minister concedes

Housing Minister Chris Bishop told RNZ it "does not sit comfortably" with him that New Zealand has no legal guarantee of shelter. He called housing "an enormous challenge" but ruled out a legislative fix, saying effective government services matter more. Emergency Housing Minister Tama Potaka declined to comment.
