FTC Settles with Zillow, Orders Redfin to Restart Rental Ads

The FTC settled its antitrust case against Zillow on August 24, 2026. Zillow paid Redfin $100 million plus ongoing fees over nine years to exit multifamily rental advertising. The deal requires Redfin to rebuild that business, restoring competition for property managers and renters. Five states joined the settlement.
