FTC Settles with Zillow, Forces Redfin to Rebuild Rental Ad Business It Shut Down

The FTC settled its antitrust case against Zillow on August 24, 2026, over a partnership in which Zillow paid Redfin $100 million plus monthly fees over nine years to exit multifamily rental advertising. The settlement requires Redfin to restart its rental listings ad business, restoring competition for property managers and renters. Five states joined the settlement.
