Government Reaches Deal with Zillow Over Rental Ad Agreement

The FTC settled a case against Zillow on August 24, 2026. Zillow paid Redfin $100 million plus monthly fees over nine years to stop offering rental listings, reducing competition. Redfin must now restart its rental ad business. Five states joined the settlement.
