
Beijing's Tiangong Ultra robot clears human world record in standing high jump
Beijing's Tiangong Ultra robot leapt 2.8843 metres in the standing high jump at the second World Humanoid Robot Games on August 22, 2026, surpassing the human world record. The jump tripled the previous year's winning mark of 95.641 centimetres. The Games drew 666 teams from 16 countries, with 2,056 robots competing across 51 events over five days.
