Tesla Quietly Kills Solar Roof, Pulls Product from Website

Tesla has discontinued its Solar Roof, scrubbing it from its site and redirecting support pages to a generic solar landing page. Electrek first reported the removal on August 20, 2026; TechCrunch confirmed it the following day. Launched around October 2016, the product never neared its 1,000-weekly-install target, reaching just 20–40 per week by 2022. Two installers still sell it from remaining inventory.
