
Chester Zoo Python Receives First-Ever Electrochemotherapy for Jaw Cancer
A reticulated python named Jodie Foster at Chester Zoo is believed to be the first snake treated with electrochemotherapy — a technique combining the drug bleomycin with electrical pulses that make tumour cells absorb it. The 90-minute procedure targeted a recurring jaw fibrosarcoma. Months later, she remains cancer-free and "back to her usual bright and feisty self."
