Chester Zoo Python Becomes First Snake Treated With Electrochemotherapy for Jaw Cancer
A 15-foot reticulated python named Jodie Foster at Chester Zoo is believed to be the first snake to receive electrochemotherapy — a cancer treatment combining the drug bleomycin with electrical pulses to tumour cells. The 90-minute procedure targeted a fibrosarcoma that recurred in her jaw after surgery. Months later, she remains cancer-free and "back to her usual bright and feisty self."
