Dozens Dead, Mostly Children, in Nigeria Boat Capsize
A boat carrying over 70 passengers — mostly children — capsized in Gorau, a remote area of Sokoto state, Nigeria. Police confirmed 46 bodies recovered and 16 rescued; 15 remain missing. Witnesses told Reuters the children were traveling with farm laborers heading to a rice harvest. Nigeria's emergency agency, NEMA, called Gorau "very remote," hampering the search.
