Coroner rules Claire Lomas died accidentally in microlight crash during Apple Vision Pro filming

Claire Lomas, paralysed from the waist down since 2007 and the first to finish the London Marathon in a bionic suit, was piloting an adapted microlight — a lightweight, open-frame aircraft — in Amman, Jordan, filming an Apple Vision Pro promo in July 2024. The aircraft veered off a runway during an aborted landing, struck rocks, and Lomas died five weeks later, aged 44. A UK coroner ruled the death accidental.
