Disability campaigner Claire Lomas died in accidental light-aircraft crash while filming for Apple

Claire Lomas, paralysed from the waist down since 2007 and the first to complete the London Marathon in a robotic walking suit, was flying a small, adapted aircraft in Jordan while filming an Apple Vision Pro promo in July 2024. The plane swerved off a runway during a failed landing and hit rocks. A UK coroner ruled her death accidental. She died five weeks later, aged 44.
