Pentagon Redirects Military Paper Away from Reuters and AP

Stars and Stripes, the Pentagon-funded military newspaper with 1.4 million readers, will drop Reuters and AP wire content and focus on "warfighting" and "lethality," per a Pentagon-directed shift. Spokesman Sean Parnell called it modernization. Editor Erik Slavin has called editorial independence his "foxhole."
