Prince Laurent's Recognized Son Gains Inheritance, Not Royal Title or Throne

A Belgian court has legally recognized Clément Vandenkerckhove, 25, as Prince Laurent's son, giving him equal inheritance rights to Laurent's private estate. He cannot, however, call himself Prince of Belgium — that requires a separate royal decree from King Philippe and the government. He is also excluded from the line of succession.
