Recognized as Prince Laurent's Son, but No Title and No Throne
Clément Vandenkerckhove, 25, has been legally recognized as the son of Prince Laurent of Belgium through civil registration, granting him equal inheritance rights to Laurent's private estate. He cannot, however, automatically use the title Prince of Belgium — a separate royal decree signed by King Philippe and the government is required. He is also barred from succeeding to the throne.
