
Swinney's £45,000 business-class flights on US trade and World Cup trip
Scotland's First Minister John Swinney spent over £45,000 of public funds on business-class flights for himself and two aides on a US trip combining Scotland's World Cup opener in Boston with trade talks in Kentucky. His ticket and his private secretary's each cost £17,893, the BBC reported. Swinney said costs were "minimised." Sports Minister Maree Todd flew economy.
