
Sony's Live-Service Pipeline Dwindles as Projects Get Cancelled or Pivoted
Sony wanted ten live-service games shipped by March 2026. The tally is falling well short. Naughty Dog cancelled a Last of Us multiplayer title, Sony shut down Concord and Firewalk Studios, and Bungie ended active Destiny 2 development on June 9. Guerrilla Games is now stripping live-service elements from Horizon Hunters Gathering after poor playtest feedback, leaving PlayStation's pipeline with little room for error.
