Aged-care review proposes 40 reforms; minister warns of cost

A ministerial advisory group chaired by former Labour health minister David Cunliffe has put forward 40 recommendations to overhaul New Zealand's aged-care system, warning it cannot meet future demand without major change. Minister for Seniors Casey Costello welcomed the report but flagged its "significant price tag." The government has not said which recommendations it will adopt.
