ByteDance and Hollywood's MPA Sign IP Protection Deal for AI Models

ByteDance and the Motion Picture Association signed an MOU to protect MPA members' copyrighted content across ByteDance AI products including TikTok, CapCut, Dreamina, Seedance, and Seedream. The deal follows a February cease-and-desist letter and ByteDance's suspension of Seedance 2.0's global rollout. MPA CEO Charles Rivkin cited "meaningful guardrails." Hollywood's separate lawsuit against Midjourney continues.
