ByteDance Agrees to Protect Hollywood's Movies and Shows on Its AI Apps

ByteDance, which owns TikTok, agreed with Hollywood's trade group to protect copyrighted movies and shows across its AI apps, including TikTok, CapCut, Dreamina, Seedance, and Seedream. This follows a February legal warning and ByteDance pausing Seedance 2.0's worldwide launch. Hollywood's leader called the deal "meaningful." A separate Hollywood lawsuit against another AI company, Midjourney, continues.
