ByteDance and MPA Sign MOU to Protect Hollywood IP Across ByteDance AI Models

ByteDance and the Motion Picture Association signed a memorandum of understanding to protect MPA members' copyrighted IP across ByteDance's AI models, including TikTok, CapCut, Dreamina, Seedance, and Seedream. The deal follows a February cease-and-desist letter and ByteDance's suspension of Seedance 2.0's global rollout. MPA CEO Charles Rivkin cited "meaningful guardrails." Hollywood's separate lawsuit against Midjourney continues.
