Trump aide impersonation campaign reaches UK: Burnham targeted

Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham exchanged messages with someone posing as Susie Wiles, Donald Trump's chief of staff, Politico reported. Burnham sent only a few insignificant messages before reporting the contact. The FBI began investigating Wiles' hacked phone in May 2025; the same method has previously targeted US senators, governors and executives.
