SpaceX Acquires Cursor, Completing Its End-to-End AI Stack

SpaceX closed its $60 billion all-stock acquisition of AI coding startup Cursor (Anysphere) on August 15, 2026. With its earlier xAI purchase, SpaceX now owns a foundation-model lab, GPU compute it rents to customers including Anthropic and Google, and a coding agent in developers' IDEs — a vertically integrated AI stack with no third-party cloud between training and inference.
