SpaceX Buys AI Coding Tool Cursor for $60 Billion

SpaceX completed its $60 billion all-stock purchase of AI coding tool Cursor on August 15, 2026. Combined with its earlier buy of xAI, SpaceX now owns the AI brains, the massive computers that power them, and the software developers use to write code — controlling every layer of the AI pipeline with no outside company in between.
