Cambridge Professor Jason Arday's Death Linked by Family to 'Sustained Abuse'

Jason Arday, 41, was found unresponsive in Battersea on 14 August 2026, a week after resigning his Cambridge professorship amid plagiarism allegations he denied. His family, via publisher Simon & Schuster UK, blamed a "campaign of sustained abuse" and "misinformation" following his Cambridge appointment, saying it "was too much for Jason." Metropolitan Police have not disclosed the cause of death.
