Family of Cambridge Professor Jason Arday Blames 'Campaign of Sustained Abuse' for His Death

Jason Arday, 41, was found unresponsive in Battersea on 14 August 2026, a week after resigning his Cambridge chair amid plagiarism allegations he denied. His family, via publisher Simon & Schuster UK, said a "campaign of sustained abuse" and "misinformation" since his Cambridge appointment "was too much for Jason." Metropolitan Police have not disclosed the cause of death.
