Apple Proposes Lower External-Link Commission After Contempt Ruling

Apple filed a tiered commission proposal with a U.S. federal court on August 14, 2026: 15% for standard apps, 5% for small business developers, 10% for partner programs and subscription renewals. The 15% standard rate is nearly half the 27% fee that led to an April 2025 contempt ruling in the Epic Games case.
