Government bans disposable barbecue sales over wildfire risk

The government banned disposable barbecue sales across Great Britain on 14 August, covering shops and online. Ministers said the barbecues had caused serious wildfires during drought and heatwave. Northern Ireland is excluded: consumer trading standards are devolved to Stormont, its parliament.
