Throwaway barbecues banned to cut wildfire risk

The government has banned the sale of throwaway barbecues across Great Britain, in shops and online, from 14 August. Ministers said the barbecues caused serious wildfires during hot, dry spells. Northern Ireland is not included, because it makes its own trading rules through Stormont, its local parliament.
