USS George Washington Replaces Record-Setting USS Abraham Lincoln in Middle East

The carrier USS George Washington is heading to the Middle East to relieve the USS Abraham Lincoln, NPR reported. The Lincoln has spent over 260 straight days at sea — a record — supporting U.S. operations against Iran. The George Washington left Da Nang, Vietnam, on Aug. 5, a Navy statement said.
