Navy Sends New Aircraft Carrier to the Middle East

The Navy is sending the aircraft carrier USS George Washington to the Middle East to replace the USS Abraham Lincoln, NPR reported. The Lincoln has been at sea for over 260 days straight — the longest on record — supporting U.S. missions against Iran. The George Washington left Vietnam on Aug. 5, the Navy said.
