Namecheap outage traced to Phoenix data center cooling failure
Namecheap suffered a broad outage on August 13, 2026, after overnight storms damaged cooling systems at its PhoenixNAP data center, pushing server room temperatures to unsafe levels. Hosting, DNS, email, and the company's own website went offline. CEO Hillan Klein said services could begin returning around 3:00–3:30pm ET.
