Storms knock Namecheap websites and email offline

Namecheap, a company that provides website hosting and email, went dark on August 13, 2026. Overnight storms damaged the cooling system at its Phoenix data center, causing computer room temperatures to rise dangerously. CEO Hillan Klein said services could begin coming back online around 3:00–3:30pm ET.
