Namecheap services down after Phoenix data center cooling failure

Namecheap experienced a broad outage on August 13, 2026, after overnight storms damaged cooling infrastructure at its PhoenixNAP data center, causing "elevated white space temperatures." Hosting, DNS, email, EasyWP, support tools, and Namecheap's own website went offline. CEO Hillan Klein posted on X that services could begin returning at approximately 3:00–3:30pm ET.
