Microsoft Unifies Consumer and 365 Copilot Into Single App

Microsoft is merging consumer Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot into one app across mobile, web, and desktop. Mobile and web rollout begins mid-August 2026; Windows and Mac follow mid-September. Personal and work data stay separated within one client. Podcasts, Deep Research, and Group Chat are retired after August 18 with no export path stated. The consolidation prepares for a broader "super app" later in 2026.
