Microsoft Combines Its Two Copilot AI Assistants Into One App

Microsoft is merging its two Copilot AI assistants — one for everyday users, one for workplaces — into a single app on phones, web, and computers. Phones and web get it mid-August 2026; Windows and Mac follow mid-September. Personal and work information stay separate inside the same app. Three features — Podcasts, Deep Research, and Group Chat — disappear after August 18 with no way to save your data. Microsoft says this sets up a larger all-in-one app later in 2026.
