Microsoft Merges Consumer and 365 Copilot Into Single Unified App

Microsoft is combining consumer Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot into one "Microsoft Copilot" app across mobile, web, and desktop. Mobile and web rollout begins mid-August 2026; Windows and Mac follow mid-September. Personal and work accounts stay data-separate within one client. Podcasts, Deep Research, and Group Chat are retired after August 18 with no stated export path. The consolidation prepares for a broader "super app" later in 2026.
