Government amends disability bill after 3,000 public submissions

Disability Issues Minister Louise Upston has amended the Disability Support Services Bill after more than 3,000 public submissions. The changes make clear that entitlements, funding and eligibility will not change, and no extra care duties will fall on families. Upston acknowledged the original bill's intent "was not as clear as it should have been."
