FlightAware drops Kalshi trademark suit one day after filing

FlightAware voluntarily dismissed its trademark lawsuit against prediction market operator Kalshi on August 12, 2026, one day after filing. The dismissal was without prejudice, preserving FlightAware's right to refile. In the interim, Kalshi relabeled flight cancellation data from "verified from FlightAware" to "verified from Primary Source Agency" and added a non-endorsement disclaimer. Neither party explained the withdrawal.
