FlightAware withdraws trademark lawsuit against Kalshi one day after filing

FlightAware voluntarily dismissed its trademark lawsuit against prediction market operator Kalshi on August 12, 2026, one day after filing. The dismissal was "without prejudice against all defendants," preserving FlightAware's right to refile. Between filing and dismissal, Kalshi relabeled flight cancellation data sources from "verified from FlightAware" to "verified from Primary Source Agency" and added a non-endorsement disclaimer. Neither party has explained the withdrawal.
