FlightAware drops trademark lawsuit against Kalshi after one day

FlightAware withdrew its trademark lawsuit against prediction market company Kalshi on August 12, 2026, just one day after filing. The withdrawal lets FlightAware sue again later. Before the suit was dropped, Kalshi changed its flight data labels from "verified from FlightAware" to "verified from Primary Source Agency" and added a note saying FlightAware does not endorse Kalshi. Neither side explained the reversal.
