Ex-Guerrero Governor Ordered to Trial in Ayotzinapa Case

A federal judge ordered former Guerrero governor Ángel Aguirre to stand trial for forced disappearance and obstruction of justice tied to the 2014 disappearance of 43 Ayotzinapa students. He allegedly ordered destruction of surveillance tapes. He was held in a maximum security prison. Only 3 of the 43 students' remains have been identified.
