Coalition's $33,000 housing cost claim doesn't survive contact with the evidence

Industry groups say energy-efficiency code changes add $33,000 per home. Government analysis puts the cost of lifting the rating from six to seven stars at under 1 per cent. The RBA and CSIRO separately found past efficiency tightening barely moved costs — sometimes they fell. The Coalition hasn't engaged with those findings.
