Amazon Exits MMO Publishing, Hands Off Two Titles, Shuts Down New World

Amazon will stop publishing Lost Ark and Throne and Liberty in western markets. NCSOFT takes over Throne and Liberty in Q4 2026; Smilegate reclaims Lost Ark in early 2027. New World: Aeternum shuts down January 31, 2027. Amazon also ended a Lord of the Rings MMO in May 2026 and now redirects focus toward Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis.
